Situated at an altitude of 920 M, the veld is a mixed sweet veld, with an abundance of edible trees and a good carrying capacity. There is an over abundance of mopani and leadwood (hardekool) used for fencing purposes (straining posts and droppers) 50 species of trees have been identified.

WILDLIFE
The following are some of the animals that have been seen over the past 18 months: Elephant, Buffalo, Leopard, Hippo, Crocodile, Eland, Sable, Kudu, Waterbuck, Serval, Hyena, Otter, Badger, Porcupine and Antbear. The riverine habitat attracts a wide variety of birds such as fish eagles and spurwing geese.
